Our Company

Strategic Spanish was founded in 2008 to address the need for Reliable Spanish Translation. Spanish Translation that makes sense. At Strategic Spanish we identified an increasing need for communication in Spanish that is not distracting for being incorrect; hence our purpose became to provide Spanish Translation Solutions that are accurate and effective in producing the desired results for businesses interested in reaching out to the Hispanic Market. Communication, such as the promotion of products and services through advertising, marketing campaigns and websites; work instructions, medical and legal documents, HR documents, hiring and voice over.

In order to accomplish our purpose of providing the most Reliable Spanish Translation service, Strategic Spanish has meticulous processes for understanding customer needs, selection of translators, training, translations, editing, proofreading and reporting. We believe that in order to help our customers reach their communication goals, we have to understand their markets and their products and shape a translation that effectively communicates their intended message. The second element to a successful translation is to hire a competent team of translators. Translators that go beyond a perfect understanding of both Spanish and English, possess high work ethics and a true desire to bridge the communication gaps between cultures.

How many times have you seen a Spanish speaker laugh at movie subtitles, posters, magazines and newspaper ads, signs, books, etc. for being wrong? At Strategic Spanish we seek to eliminate the distractions of mistakes and innacuracies that take away from the message and its objective. It is our goal to preserve the integrity of the communication between businesses and their customers.

Our Team

At Strategic Spanish we believe that the best work is created by the best people. Our Spanish Translators are professional, Native Spanish Speakers carefully selected, with education and working experience in diverse industries like engineering, education, politics, accounting, psychology, literature and communication among others. Most of our translators hold Bachelor’s degrees or higher from their native countries and have additional degrees from Universities in the US.

Alma Bartos. Alma is a native of México and lives in the US since 1997. She has a BS in Engineering from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and an MBA from Xavier University. Alma has worked for corporations like General Motors and General Electric and is now a translator and Hispanic communications consultant for Strategic Spanish.

Rosario Cruz. Rosario is a native of México and lives in the US since 2006. She graduated from Nuevo Leon University with a degree in Psychology and has postgraduate studies in Early Childhood Education from the University of Queretaro. Rosario has worked as a counselor for the government of Nuevo Leon and as a Spanish and English teacher for several educational institutes.

Adriana LoPiccolo. Adriana is a native of México and holds a BA in Psychology from the University of Texas at El Paso. Adriana has held positions as in Advertising Sales for the Norte Newspaper, and as an advertising consultant for two Advertising Agencies in Cd. Juárez México.

Leyla Peña. Leyla is a native of the Dominican Republic and lived in New York from 1983 until 1994, then moved to Dominican Republic to come back to the US in 2008. In New York she obtained a BA in Political Science from Marymount Manhattan College. She also holds a certification in translation from the University Domínico Americano. She has worked for Citigroup and the Chief Medical Examiner’s office in NY in various positions related to communications and office administration.

  • Spanish is the second world language as a vehicle of international communication and the third as an international language of politics, economics and culture.  
  • In the US the projected Hispanic population for July 1, 2050, is of 102.6 million people. According to this projection, Hispanics will constitute 24% of the nation’s total population on that date.
